Sengupta has built enterprise AI functions from scratch at four different organizations, AXA XL, Zebra Technologies, and now JPMorgan Chase, while maintaining an active academic research career that produced over 9,100 citations and a co-authored analysis of the EU AI Act, a rare combination of frontier research credentials and boardroom-level AI deployment experience.

Major achievements & key works

• Architect and enterprise lead, JPMorgan LLM Suite (2024-present). Built the firm's flagship generative AI platform serving over 300,000 employees, unlocking multi-billion-dollar annual ROI and cutting AI deployment cycles from quarters to weeks while maintaining regulatory compliance.
• Managing Director, AI Products and Cloud Platform, JPMorgan CIB (2022-2024). Built and scaled a global AI/ML organization embedding AI across custody, settlement, risk management, and client advisory functions.
• Co-authoring 'The EU AI Act and the Wager on Trustworthy AI', Communications of the ACM. Contributed policy analysis on AI governance to one of computing's most widely read professional publications.
• Building AXA XL's global AI Centre of Excellence across 6 countries. Delivered hundreds of millions of dollars in business impact, embedding AI-driven document extraction, risk classification, and recommender systems into core underwriting workflows.
• Technical Fellow (L10) and Global Head of Machine Learning, Zebra Technologies. Served on the CTO's leadership team, delivering production AI across retail, warehouse, and healthcare and leading technical due diligence for multi-billion-dollar acquisitions.
